Cambridge Exam Preparation

At inlingua Edinburgh, we offer intensive Cambridge exam preparation for all three levels of English proficiency.

The University of Cambridge exams offer an important English language qualification for life. These are the only exams to be directly tied to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFL) and, because they are recognised by employers around the world, a Cambridge ESOL qualification is the perfect and a valuable addition to any CV.

Cambridge English examinations are taken by over three million learners in more than 130 countries each year. Our Cambridge exam preparation courses in Edinburgh are structured to provide exam strategy and/or English skills development.

Cambridge Exam Courses at inlingua Edinburgh

At inlingua Edinburgh, we offer Cambridge exam preparations for the following levels:

• FCE (First Certificate Examination in English): Upper intermediate level of English
• CAE (Certificate in Advanced English): Advanced English level
• CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English): Level of an educated native English speaker

The exam fee (2013/ 2014) is extra as following:

FCE: £120 

CAE: £125

CPE: £130

There is also an additional late entry fee of £20

Test your English Language Online

To help you evaluate your level of English, you can take our English language test. The test takes between 20-30 minutes, after which you can talk with one of our advisors about your Cambridge exam preparation requirements.

Further assessments within the Cambridge levels will be required after a meeting with one of our teachers (written essay and gap fill test). This way you can be assured to enroll in the right course at the right level.
