Erasmus Plus in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a fantastic destination to brush up on your English language skills. Teachers of English as a foreign language or education professionals from within the EU, can apply for Erasmus Plus funding to study this course.

inlingua Edinburgh offers Teacher Training Courses for two weeks or more throughout the year for people from all over the world. We can also offer courses for one week. Courses are designed for teachers of English at Primary, Secondary and Adult education level.  The courses are also suitable for teachers of other subjects who teach in English (CLIL).  The course includes a General English component to allow teachers to improve their fluency in English and there is also an extensive Scottish Culture programme.

Our courses are led by qualified and experienced Teacher Trainers who work for inlingua Edinburgh and at Edinburgh University and other educational establishments in the UK.

Enhance Your Teaching Through Scottish Activities

Students are encouraged to develop and enhance their cultural awareness through immersion and topical sessions covering many aspects of UK culture and daily life. The course will also introduce the participants to Edinburgh and The Scottish Arts – Music, Literature, and the Arts with reference to Scottish History, Culture and Edinburgh Festivals. Some of the cultural visits on offer can be seen below:

• Tours of Edinburgh – The Castle, The Old Town, The Royal Palace and The Scottish Parliament
• Art Galleries and Exhibitions – The National Gallery, The Portrait Gallery and The Modern Art Gallery
• The Edinburgh Festival and Fringe Festival performances
• The Edinburgh Book Festival and lectures
