Accommodation During your Stay in Edinburgh

While learning English in Edinburgh, we can provide the perfect home for your stay in Scotland. The important thing is that you feel happy and comfortable in Edinburgh and outside our English language school. Our different options provide the perfect stay ensuring that all your needs are catered.

Host Families

If you wish to have the opportunity to practice English outside inlingua and get a real insight into life in Scotland, then staying with one of our carefully selected host families is the best decision. To ensure we maintain our high standards we regularly visit each and every home to make sure you have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Accommodation is based on a single room (bed linen provided) with breakfast and evening meal with family. Depending on the different category you choose, you may have a private bathroom or a shared family bathroom. The families also provide access to laundry and a front door key for you to come and go at your leisure. Most of our hosts live within a 15/20 min bus ride from our language centre and are thus within easy reach.

Self-catering Shared Flat

Our self-catering shared flats are the best solution if you wish to practice your English with international flatmates after study. You have a private room and share public rooms (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) with your flatmates. In general, you can share with 2 or up to 4 flatmates. You have to cater for yourself in the fully equipped kitchen. Most of our shared flats are within a 15/20 min maximum bus ride from the language centre. Bed linen is provided.

Hotel and B&Bs

If you prefer more privacy, B&Bs and Hotels are an excellent choice. We have exclusive corporate rates with our affiliated B&Bs and hotels in the centre of the city within easy walking distance of the language centre. If you stay in a B&B, you can take advantage of a full Scottish breakfast but dinner is not included. Hotels may also offer dinner options but are paid as extra.

Student Residence

During the months of June, July and August, you also have the possibility to stay in a private studio or in a room in a shared apartment. These apartments can house up to 5 students. The studio option has a self-contained kitchen and shower-room and is fully equipped (microwave oven, fridge, bed, desk, table, etc.) If you share a flat with others, you have a bedroom with shower-room and share the common kitchen/living area with other students. The residence complex is a modern build which was only opened recently. This type of accommodation is 15 minutes by bus and approximately 25 minutes on foot from the school. Within the complex, facilities also include coinless laundry (additional charge applicable), great social space, roof terrace, onsite security 7 nights a week and an on site management team.
