FCE Exam Preparation Courses

The FCE (First Certificate Examination in English) is an exam for people who have an upper intermediate level of English. inlingua Edinburgh provides exam preparation courses which focus on exam readiness and strategy.

This Cambridge ESOL exam is ideal for people who want to use English for work or study purposes and are required to give evidence of their abilities, or for people who want to mark their own progress in English language learning. The FCE certificate is valid for life and is recognised around the world. Thousands of employers, universities and government departments officially recognise FCE as a qualification in upper intermediate English. FCE can be followed by higher qualifications such as the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE). The test can be paper-based or computer-based and covers the following skills:

• Listening
• Speaking

Inlingua offers two FCE Exam Preparation Courses in Edinburgh:

Full Day FCE Preparation Course

The intensive full-time FCE preparation course combines language development lessons with practice of all the examination skills and techniques you will need to excel in the FCE exam. You have the opportunity to improve your general English skills in the morning during group sessions (max. 8 students) and will then focus on exam strategy during the afternoon either in private or small group lessons. Evening FCE Preparation Course

The Evening FCE Exam Preparation courses last for 8 weeks and offer group sessions two evenings a week from 18.30 – 20.00. The group courses have a maximum of 8 students. This course specialises in exam strategy training and past paper practice tests. Our experienced teachers will give you tactics for how to successfully tackle the FCE Exam.
