IELTS Exam Preparation Course

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is jointly managed by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP: IELTS Australia. IELTS conforms to the highest international standards of language assessment and is the most widely recognised English language qualification in the world. It is valid for two years. The test is particularly useful to those looking to demonstrate their English language ability for higher education, immigration, and employment (both in the UK and overseas).The IELTS test covers all four language skills:

• Listening
• Reading
• Writing
• Speaking

The speaking test is a face-to-face interview with a certified Examiner. It is interactive and as close to a real-life situation as a test can get. There is a nine-band score system that grades the scores consistently.

We offer three levels of IELTS exam preparation in Edinburgh. Importantly we provide specialised IELTS exam strategy training which can be combined with the general English skills for the full day course.

Full Day IELTS Preparation Course

The intensive full-time IELTS preparation course combines language development lessons with practice of all the examination skills and techniques you will need to excel in the IELTS exam. You have the opportunity to improve your general English skills in the morning during group sessions (max. 8 students) and will then focus on exam strategy during the afternoon, either in private or small group lessons. This course starts every Monday and you are free to choose the length of your course. See more information on our price list .

Evening IELTS Preparation Course

The Evening IELTS Exam Preparation courses last for 12 weeks and offer group sessions two evenings a week from 18.30 – 20.00. The group courses have a maximum of 8 students. This course specialises in exam strategy training and past paper practice tests. Our expert teachers will give you tactics for how to successfully tackle the IELTS Exam.
