The Rolling Classroom

Outside of the English class, Scotland offers many attractions. Whether you are interested in history, genealogy, hiking or literature, at inlingua Edinburgh, we have created a special package for you. Combine both English classes and the discovery of Scotland’s scenery and culture for a more rounded experience of English language learning.

What is the Rolling Classroom?

This special English class package includes one week of half day group classes with 15 hours of group lessons, in a dedicated classroom and 52 hours of lessons of learning-while-doing on tour. There is a maximum of 8 people per group. Two teachers guide students during the whole tour and help them discover the Scottish Highlands, their fascinating history and breathtaking scenery. Transport is provided in a small coach with a knowledgeable driver. You will spend two nights in beautiful Edinburgh and five nights in the Scottish Highlands.

The Itinerary

The itinerary is as follows:

• Sunday: Explore Edinburgh on your own; overnight in Edinburgh.
• Monday: Meet students at inlingua; drive to Dunkeld, Loch Ness; overnight in Inverness.
• Tuesday: Lessons in the morning; visit Cawdor Castle; overnight in Inverness.
• Wednesday: Wester Ross &Torridon, Drive to Isle of Skye; lessons in the afternoon; overnight in Portree.
• Thursday: Lessons in the morning; tour of the northern part of Skye; overnight in Portree.
• Friday: Lessons in the morning; trip back to the mainland via the iconic EileanDonan Castle, Fort William; overnight in Fort William, at the foot of Ben Nevis, Scotland’s highest mountain.
• Saturday: Back to Edinburgh via Pass of Glencoe, Stirling Castle; farewell dinner in Edinburgh; overnight in Edinburgh.
