It’s officially summer in Edinburgh with the Meadows Festival kick-starting the holiday season! It’s a free, volunteer-run event that usually takes place in the first weekend of June every year.
This year, the festival is bigger than ever with a market, a bar, a funfair and live performances taking place across three stages. The festivities will take place all day over Saturday and Sunday - if it’s sunny this weekend, there will be no better place to be!
Confirmed bands include Eliza Carthy, Sea Bass Kid, Urvanovic and The Mermaids alongside many more local acts. This year, the festival has also teamed up with Edinburgh-distilled Pickering’s Gin to provide a cocktail bar, so why not try a locally made tipple while you’re there?
